Step #3: Maintain The Proper Mindset

Having and maintaining the proper mindset is key to success. The proper mindset is multifaceted as well. If you don’t believe you can do something then the odds of you failing increase dramatically. Simply believing in yourself is often times enough to make the difference between success and failure. Belief in oneself doesn’t necessarily happen over night. Development and reinforcement of self confidence is key to advancement. Competence is confidence.

The 4 P’s to a proper mindset.
Perfection, Persistence, Positivity, Punctuality.

Perfection: Do everything properly the first time. It is far better to do things right the first time than to fix your mistakes. But if you make a mistake you must fix it to perfection. Make this a habit and it will bring many benefits to your success.

Persistence: Don’t let the pitfalls of life dissuade you from your Endeavor. Do not quit when the going gets tough, instead be tougher than the obstacle and overcome it. Do not let fear cause you to not push forward towards your goals. Fear is often caused by the unknown and is frequently unwarranted. Push through any obstacle or fear you may have and persevere.

Positivity: Always maintain positive thoughts about yourself and your Endeavor. Negative thoughts, feelings and comments can really drag you down mentally, as well as the people around you if you make it a habit of verbalizing negativity. Always try to maintain a positive attitude inside and out. If you find yourself being negative, try to turn it around. There are many people who have a natural tendency towards negativity either through past trauma or environment during upbringing. You must find the roots of any deep seeded negativity you may have and take control of them.

Productivity: Don’t wait until later to do things. Get things done efficiently, quickly and be on time. Do not procrastinate. Life is full of little tasks every day which need to be done or they may hold you back. It’s better to do them quickly and efficiently and be done with them than to have it keep popping up and making you feel bad for not doing them.
